While a lot of company’s make the statement that the customer is number one, we put our words into action. If we do not have the garage flooring product you are looking for, and we can help you find it –even if it means loosing a sale—we’ll do just that.
This last Friday is a great example. We had a customer call in looking for a diamond pattern garage floor tile. We explained to the customer that we have a lot of garage tiles but we do not have one in the diamond pattern. He wanted the diamond pattern in a tile and that we simply did not offer one.
In any case we re referred him to a product called Swisstrax and to one of their internet dealers. We want our customers to know that when they call us looking for a product, we are going to help them find it.
We are also the first to tell a customer when we do not believe a product will meet their needs. A customer had been referred to a specific product to use as flooring on a boat. I asked the customer about traction, UV rays and adhesion all of which were concerns. We decided that the products we offered were not really a good fit and we referred the customer to some products on other web sites that might work better for him.
While sales and size are certainly a key aspect to being the garage floor leader, we believe it is our willingness to go the extra mile and find the right product for the customer that cements our position as the leader and the expert in the garage flooring industry!
