If you have a metal mobile home roof or and EPDM rubber mobile home roof that has not been repaired before, Liquid Rubber is a great option for repairing that mobile home roof. If however, you are not sure what your roof is constructed from and you have various patches an elastomeric mobile home roof coating is probably your best option. AtticDek (Attic Dek) is an attic floor option that installs with ease. Attic Dek is available in two size 16″ and 24″, so make sure you order the correct size! Unlike plywood, AtticDek still allows for ventilation. Attic dek attaches with a few screws. The only tool you will need is a screw gun.

Versalift is also a great option for your attic. Versalift is a “freight elevator” for your attic. Versalift comes inwired and wireless versions. Versalift is also available for different ceiling heights. Versalift makes it easy to get things in and out of your attic space.

I suppose if you were an avid hot tub user, a portable hot tub would not be the best choice for you. But, if you are like Nicole and I and just looking for a place to relax after a day at the office (or with our three kids) the portable hot tub is an excellent choice!

It took us about 20 minutes to set up the tub. Everything we needed was in the box. The filter even came with an attachment that is used to blow it up. The portable hot tub also included a cover. Once we had it all set up we just filled it with water and let it run. We set it up on Saturday and by Sunday night it was warm enough to jump in!

I would say it is a  little small for four people as the manufacturer advertises, but for two people or two adults and two kids it was perfect. There are a few tips we have though to get the best performance out of your portable hot tub.

• Set the temperature to 104. Once you turn the air on and take the cover off it starts to cool off. We were in it for 40 minutes and it had cooled down to 100 degrees.
• If your going to set your portable hot tub on a concrete patio use a product like Quick Dek over the concrete. It provides for a more attractive look, but more importantly keeps you walking on a dryer, cleaner surface.
• Keep it covered! It takes less dirt to make a small hot tub dirty.

Within the next couple of weeks we will have some before and after shots of our patio & hot tub . The before shot will show it on  a concrete patio and the after shot will be after we have our new quick dek installed!

Installing a garage door threshold will cost less than $100 and typically take only a few minutes. You should always follow the manufacturer’s directions, but basic installation simply requires you to open the garage door, place the threshold where you would like it to be. Close the garage door and insure that the garage door threshold is in the proper position. Mark the position of the garage door threshold on the garage floor using a pencil. Next open the garage door and remove the garage door threshold. Apply the included glue to the garage floor using your line as a guide. Now place your garage door threshold back into position and close the garage door.

Many people wonder if installing a garage door threshold will effect pulling their vehicle in and out of the garage. In a word, NO. The garage door threshold is only about ½” and vehicles barley even notice it.

Quick Dek is a composite tile made of the same material as the composite decking many of us are transitioning to. Quick Dek Deck and Patio tile is maintenance free, free of splinters and installs in a couple of hours.

Many concrete patios and be covered with the Quick Dek product without the use of any tools! If your application requires some trimming, you can cut Quick Dek with standard wood cutting tools –such as a jig saw, band saw, circular saw or table saw.
