Generally, the growing demand for Garage
Flooring has been for products like those manufactured by Better Life Technology
(BLT) and available at JNK Products. The BLT product is available in a
standard and a heavy duty grade. Both grades have ridges to contain
liquids and debris and both grades are constructed of a tough PVC. The BLT
products is available in 6 colors at no extra charge. We have widths up to
10' by any length you desire --up to 44 feet. Standard sizes are also
available.
BLT has introduced a coin pattern product
designed for garages, commercial and industrial situations. If you use
your garage as a shop, or are looking for a floor that is attractive and
functional, the coin pattern may be the way to go.
We have people write us everyday about new
products for garage floors. We have a very simple test we apply to every
product we sell. If we won't put it in our home, we wont put it on our
site.

Deciding on what type of flooring goes in the garage is not an easy
decision. First you need to decide if you need to protect the entire floor
or just the part of the garage where you park the car. Do you want to use
a covering like a garage floor mat, or would prefer to paint your garage floor?

Painting Versus Covering |
|
We have searched and searched and we believe that covering your garage floor
is a better option than painting it. However, this decision is a personal one, so we thought you may want to know all of the differences:
-
A garage floor cover does not have to be adhered to
the floor or to connecting mats. Garage floor coverings can simply be laid in place.
Once you paint the garage floor it is a semi-permanent fixture that will have
to be maintained for years to come.
-
A garage floor mat can be removed from the garage and hosed off.
With paint, you will need to find a way to clean the floor inside the garage
without removing the paint.
-
A garage floor mat will not fade, chalk, peel, stain or discolor
under normal circumstances. With paint, you take your chances
depending on the manufacturer.

Available Garage Products |
|
In the last year or so, an abundance of products have become
available for covering floors. There are tiles available. They are
usually small pieces about 12"x12" that interlock and may require some type of
adhesive. JNK Products does not carry this type of product but it is
regularly available.
There are also Car Pads (not to be confused with ParkingPad®
available. There are many manufacturers, but these are typically a thin
plastic designed for light to no traffic. They can be placed under your
car to catch debris, but offer no way to contain liquids or debris. We
prefer the Better Life Technology ParkingPad® as a heavier more permanent
solution that offers ridges to contain liquid and debris. |
